I have an unquenchable thirst for creative expression and a relentless desire to tell unforgettable stories. In the spring of 2018, I walked away from my dream career as a middle school Drama teacher to pursue my greatest desire: becoming a filmmaker.

I've been working as a professional photographer and videographer for over a decade, and my camera even found its way into my classroom, when I founded and directed a film program for 8th graders. It was during those years that I developed a passion for writing, directing, and producing short films and music videos. 

 

In the spring of 2020, I graduated from the School of Filmmaking at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with my MFA in Filmmaking. During my time in the graduate program, I had the opportunity to learn from true masters of filmmaking who were tremendously instrumental in helping me develop my craft as a director, screenwriter, and creative producer. 

 

Theatre was my first love, and I graduated from East Carolina School of Theatre and Dance with my BFA in Professional Acting in 2011. I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to devote most of my life to the study of storytelling from a number of different perspectives and approaches.

My husband Josh is the man who keeps me grounded but has never once tried to hold me back. We have a little Corgi named Hobson. I'm a left-handed INFJ and one of my favorite films is FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (2004). I haven't seen the TV show, but the film gets me every time.
